Robert Ciaffone, known in the poker world as Bob Ciaffone, is a world-renowned expert on cardroom rules. Ciaffone compiled the rules found in the book and organized them for easy reading. He also improved the wording and organization throughout the text. He worked as a consultant and rules drafter for several cardrooms. Ciaffone also authored the official poker rulebook of the Poker Players Association. The group was founded in 1984 and is now defunct.
