NFL fans will be thrilled to know that they can bet on NFL games this season, thanks to the league’s new official betting partners. Three sportsbooks have joined forces with the league to provide official data on football games, which allows them to promote their partnership with the league and tie their brand names to statistics. If the five-year agreement works out, the league will receive nearly $1 billion in revenue – but it is possible to opt out after three years.

The Liberty is one of the original WNBA franchises and plays home games in Brooklyn, New York. The team is owned by Joe Tsai, the majority owner of the Brooklyn Nets. BetMGM will become the official betting partner of the Knicks, Rangers, and Madison Square Garden in November 2021. Betway and BetMGM announced their official betting partnerships with six NBA/NHL franchises in March 2021.

Despite this controversy, some sports leagues are moving forward with legalized sports betting. Since the Supreme Court’s ruling in May, seven states have legalized the practice. Others are poised to follow suit later this year. The NFL has claimed that legalized sports betting threatens the moral thread of sports, but so far, the integrity of the NFL appears to have survived the first season of its evolution.
