The three companies will gain exclusive access to NFL content and data in return for promoting their relationship with the league and tying their brands to their statistics. If the five-year deal works, the NFL will earn nearly $1 billion over those five years, but it can opt out of the agreement after three years. That means sports fans will get more opportunities to bet on NFL games this season.
