The PDA was founded by poker players Matt Savage, Linda Johnson, Jan Fisher, and David Lamb. It now has more than 2,500 members in 63 countries. It meets twice a year for the Poker TDA Summit, at which the rules for the game are reviewed. WSOP Tournament Director Jack Effel sits on the PDA’s board of directors.
